You must be a U.S. Citizen and a California resident in order to vote. 


You must be 18 years of age by Election Day. If you are 16 or 17 years of age, but will be 18 on or before Election Day, you can pre-register to vote. If you pre-register now, you will automatically be registered to vote on your 18th birthday.


If you are military, living overseas or temporarily living outside California, you can register as a special absentee voter. You can choose to have your ballot mailed, faxed, or emailed to you.
