An Experienced Leader and Financial Steward for Larkspur.

My family immigrated to the U.S. from Taiwan when I was 4 years old. While I have lived in both Asia and the U.S., my husband and I have lived in San Francisco and Larkspur for 25 years. We have raised our two sons through Larkspur public schools (Neil Cummins, Hall and Redwood). We love living in Larkspur. You can frequently see us out walking our dog, hiking the trails, and volunteering in our neighborhood.

I spent decades as a public-company finance executive and investment banker, specializing in real estate. I have strong financial acumen, strategic leadership and executive management skills. I am adept at negotiating, collaborating, and building successful relationships with many stakeholders. As former President of The Calvary Foundation of San Francisco, I understand the role of fiduciary oversight. My professional experience has required me to balance the priorities and interests of different groups. I will listen to residents' concerns and ideas and make informed decisions for the benefit of Larkspur residents. Larkspur is a wonderful place to live, but we must be prudent stewards of our resources to ensure our city's continued success and vibrancy.

I hold a M.B.A. from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and B.A. from Columbia University. I volunteer at my children's schools, my church, the SF-Marin Food Bank and my neighborhood emergency response group. I will be a voice of reason and common sense on the City Council, and I would be honored to have your vote.

Building a More Equitable and Sustainable Future for Larkspur.

Like many cities and towns all over California, Larkspur faces issues related to climate change, housing affordability, and the need to maintain or improve existing infrastructure. I will work with constituents and the appropriate government agencies or organizations to find solutions to these challenges.

Climate:  We must take action now to protect our environment, reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, and further invest in renewable energy sources. I will support policies that accelerate our adoption of renewable energy and decrease carbon emissions.

Housing: We need to create more housing, so our first responders, public servants, teachers and others who serve our community can live closer to where they work. We need to be thoughtful about how and where we build in order to protect the environment and preserve the charm of our community.

Infrastructure: Larkspur is embarking on the building of its new public library. We also need to replace aging storm drains, and our roads require regular repair and maintenance. I support these projects and will work to ensure that adequate resources are allocated to these initiatives.

Wildfire Preparedness:  Through my involvement in my Neighborhood Response Group and my husband's involvement on the Neighborhood Firewise team, we have helped our neighbors create defensible space and harden their homes against fire. On City Council, we must continue our work with other governmental partners such as Marin County Open Space and Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority on clearing invasive species and ensuring evacuation routes are adequate. I would also explore ways in conjunction with PG&E to cost-effectively reduce wildfire risk and improve reliability of service in severe weather.

Equity and Inclusion: As an Asian-American female and first-generation immigrant, I am running for City Council to increase the diversity of voices on the council. I know first-hand the challenges and hurdles that minorities and immigrants face in pursuit of the American dream. I will support policies and initiatives that create a welcoming environment for all who want to live and work here, especially those in under-represented groups.  Through increased diversity, we will have a more vibrant city.

If we work together, we can build a greener, safer, and more inclusive community.
